CipConf self service
What is it?
CipConf is the IT-SelfService Tool for students.
You can use it to change your password, activate services etc.
Currently there are two version:
- CipConf - old version. Has full functionality but can only be accessed from inside the informatics institutes network.
- CipConf - new version. Has currently reduced functionality (change password, activate remote login) but can be accessed from anywhere. Please read the differnces between login with your cip or LMU account below.
CIP Account und LMU Account
- We use a separate account ( the CIP Account ) for various services because the LMU Account is more restrictive than needfull in our environment or has a too short a validity duration.
- Both Accounts are totally separate from one another. They have different names and passwords. These can not be mixed up.
- Some services with LMU Account login might require a suffix of @campus.lmu.de or @lmu.de in addition to the username. You will be informed of this either on the login page itself or in the info material for the service.
- Some problems with the CIP Account can be solved with the later mentioned access to CipConf via your LMU Account.
- The LMU Account was also called Campus Account or LMU Campus Account.
