How does one choose, manage and use a secure password
Choice
- A password may not be to short lest it be insecure.
- A password may not be to long/complex because that makes remembering it difficult and entering it error prone.
- You should throw in some special characters (e.g. numbers, punctations etc) to increase the passwords complexity.
- The following three techniques facillitate the use of long passwords.
- A combination of 4-6 words like “HorseCup!FenceMeadowStem”
- First letters taken from a longer sentence. “Today we eat delicious Lasagne. With lots of sauce” results in “TwedL.Wlos”
- Passwordcards
