Diskquotas:
- Every user account has 75GB diskquota in its homedir. This can be exceeded up to a total of 150GB for short durations. These limits are automatically enforced by the system. If you need more space contact the RBG.
- For fast local diskspace use /tmp and for big temporary files use /big.
- The RBG takes care to regularily backup the homedir. This backup exists in case of harddrive (or other hardware) failiure. It is not intended to restore carelessly deleted files of individual students. You are resposible for your files. We do not make any guranties regarding the backups. Therefore we recommend that you put important files into our version control systems like svn and git or make regular backups of them yourself.
Printquotas:
Every user can print 600 DIN A4 pages per semester on the laserprinters free of charge.
One page from the color laserprinters counts as 3 pages in black and white.
This is financed by the institute. After this quota is exhausted you can buy additional quota in 100 page increments.
